The old family recipe book.
I loved this simple bread, a bit like a large scone, as a child.
Sliced and served with butter and jam.
Such an easy recipe, until today when I made it I was always under the impression that it was made with tea. The tea in the title however refers to the time of its consumption!
- Loved being able to serve it to my children, and it does not have to be confined to tea time, it made a lovely supper for me after an evening studying local history
